Selection Process
Illinois admission applications are thoroughly reviewed each year to identify exceptional candidates who demonstrate high levels of academic achievement, strong leadership, involvement, and community service.
There is not a scholarship application for consideration for the Stamps Scholars Program. Instead, Illinois admission applications are thoroughly reviewed each year to identify exceptional candidates who demonstrate high levels of academic achievement, strong leadership, involvement, and community service. Only Illinois residents are reviewed for the Stamps Scholarship.
In early spring, candidates are invited for a campus visit which includes an interview with a selection committees, current Stamps Scholars, and a representative of their academic program at Illinois.
Renewal Criteria
Stamps recipients must maintain a 3.0 grade point average, maintain full-time enrolment, and meet other program engagement requirements as outlined by the Stamps Program Lead.
Eligible recipients may receive the award for no more than 8 consecutive semesters (fall and spring only).
