Resources for scholars
The Illinois Leadership Center offers programs and initiatives designed to help students learn and develop core competencies in leadership. Scholars are encouraged to participate in i-Programs or enroll in the Leadership Certificate Program.
The University offers a variety of leadership-related coursework. AGED 260 is a great introductory course for students who wish to explore the topic and the minor is offered for those who wish to delve more deeply into leadership theory.
This six-day, five-night leadership development program takes place over winter break and is a great opportunity for students to learn about leading with integrity.
Registered Student Organizations
There are over 1,400 student organizations at Illinois that bring together students with shared interests of any kind - from robotics to dance, finance to volunteerism, or even the month of October. Scholars are encouraged to participate in an RSO or develop their own.
What better way to make a difference on campus than to be involved in Student Government. Attend a General Meeting or contribute as a committee member or senator.
